How to download PAN card from NSDL ?
First of all, know that the work of NSDL for downloading PAN card has now started on its new website protean-tinpan.com. The method of downloading PAN card through this is as follows-
Step 1: Open the NSDL website on your computer. Its link is- https://www.protean-tinpan.com/
Step 2 : In the page that opens, go down a little on the left side and find a section of Quick Links. On going a little further down, the button for PAN-New facilities is visible. Click on it.
Several links open below PAN – New facilities. Out of these, click on Download e-PAN/e-PAN XML ( PANs allotted prior to 30 days ).
Step 3 : The page of Download e-PAN Card opens in front of you, in which some empty boxes are present. The following information is to be filled in these empty boxes-
PAN: Enter your PAN number in the empty box below.
Aadhaar Number: You have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number in the empty box below this. Only individual category applicants are required to enter Aadhaar number.
Date of Birth: You have to enter the month and year of your date of birth in the fields given below. Institutions or organizations have to enter the date of their formation or establishment instead of the date of birth.
GSTN : Leave blank if you do not have a GST number. If you have GST number then enter it.
Consent for Aadhaar details: A three-line declaration is available below on the same page. In these, one has to give consent to use the details of Aadhar card to make PAN card. Please agree by ticking the check box at the beginning.
Captcha* You see the captcha image in front of it. Look at the letters and numbers shown in it and enter it in the captcha box given below.
Submit: Now click on the Submit button present at the bottom.
Step 4 : The page that opens in front of you shows your PAN Card related details. Check them out. If all the details are correct then proceed with the process.
If you go down a little on this page, you get the option to select Email ID or Mobile Number or both to ask for OTP. After this click on the Generate OTP button.
Step 5 : An OTP number will come to your mobile number through SMS. Enter it in the OTP box and click on the ‘Validate’ button.
Step 6 Download PDF: The electronic copy of your PAN card (e-PAN Card) starts appearing on the screen and a button to download PDF also appears next to it. Click on it and download it.
Password for e-PAN card: To view the downloaded e-PAN card, in PDF format, you also need a password. Your date of birth is that password.
In this way you can download E-PAN card from NSDL website in just a few minutes. If you want, you can also get a duplicate copy of your PAN card made.
